Internet Advertising and Online Behavioural Advertising
The Internet functions because of the revenues generated by advertising, with websites (run by “publishers”) relying on it as a source of income. Intelligent Optimisations helps advertisers and brands make more effective online advertising purchases from these publishers. We do this with a specific aim in mind: to make sure the advertising you see is both relevant and useful to you.
To help make more informed decisions about what advertising is relevant and useful to you, we collect information via cookies placed on customer websites. These allow us to understand your online behaviour, including your interaction with ads that we have placed and with partner websites, in order to better predict which adverts you will like and which you will not. This is called online behavioural advertising (“OBA”). It is important to remember that none of the information we collect for the purposes of advertising is data that could be used to identify you or a specific individual (“personally identifiable information”) such as any sensitive personal data (ie data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious belief, trade union membership, health or sex life).
We display adverts on a range of websites, and these publishers may place cookies in your browser. Intelligent Optimisations has no control over this process. Please refer to the publisher’s privacy statement in order to find out more and opt-out.

Intelligent Optimisations only collects anonymous, non-personally identifiable information. This anonymised data is never combined or attached to any personally identifiable information.
Intelligent Optimisations takes privacy and security of online data seriously. We do not sell or rent any individual person level information to any third party, nor will we disclose or discuss information to any third party unless we are ordered to do so by a legally authorised authority, such as a Court or the police. We retain the anonymous data that we collect for up to 13 months from the date of collection.
You are able to opt-out of OBA supplied by Intelligent Optimisations by selecting the relevant checkbox on the Your Online Choices website here.
If you choose to opt-out, any cookies we have placed in your browser will be replaced with a new cookie identifying you as having opted-out, this is required to ensure that your decision is reflected. From this point on Intelligent Optimisations will no longer target you with OBA.
Please note that opting-out does not mean you won’t see any advertising at all. Adverts may still be placed by either Intelligent Optimisations or another provider; it’s just that the advert will not be behaviourally targeted using anonymously collected data. You can opt-in to Intelligent Optimisations adverts again by un-checking the box.
Furthermore, if you block, delete or otherwise restrict cookies on your web browser, including the opt-out cookie, or if you use a different browser or another device, you will need to renew your opt-out or opt-in decision.
Intelligent Optimisations is a member of the IAB and fully adheres to the guidelines outlined by the IAB for OBA.
Intelligent Optimisations is also compliant with the EDAA’s European self-regulatory programme for OBA, available here, and is licensed to use the OBA icon.
